About me
Hello!
My name is Tobie, I am a Cohort 11 SDP Data Fellow Alumni. Originally from Louisiana, I am passionate about leveraging analytics to help districts to improve their performance and streamlining processes to build the capacity of schools. Five years ago upon graduating from grad school, I was matched with the New York State's Education Department's Office of Accountability (OA), where I helped develop an alternative accountability system to better assess schools that serve students with special needs. Today I still work at OA, developing and evaluating metrics used to measure school performance, identifying districts in need of additional support from the state, and building capacity amongst district and internal staff to leverage accountability data to improve the lives of students. I live in Brooklyn, New York, where I enjoy watching good "bad" movies. I've recently moved into a new apartment. I am looking forward to reconnect with SDP community.
